Old Business

The Zoning Committee met and they will advertise for a Zoning Officer.

Carson has prepared a draft Subdivision Ordinance

He has written a response to the comments of Bob Wurt and Eugene Famolari. A negative response to zoning was voiced by many visitors.  Many claimed that they had no knowledge of this initiative in spite of efforts from the NTC to advertise at each step.  Silver Lake has made major changes to their zoning ordinance based on community participation.

Terry Dugan made a motion to post changes and remarks/responses to the website.  Bruce Griffis made the second and the vote was unanimous.

Each municipality will have a final education session before adoption.  A community education session will be scheduled for the fall.

New Business

Dave McGuigan questioned the safety of cell towers.  Carson said that the tower is made to collapse on itself.   Each township has the right to regulate the height of the tower.

Gas Leasing has prompted road concerns.  The group has had many comments from both O & G companies and PennDot.  More studies will be made and each municipality will have to decide the best solution.

Meeting adjourned.
