Meeting Minutes - October 2007
Bridgewater Township
October 18, 2007
The meeting was opened by chairperson Tom Swan with the pledge of
allegiance.
Present were: Tom Swan, Dave Darrow, Bill Dovin, Bill Stewart, Tom
Curley, Frank Burns, Beverly Way, Chuck Mead, Bob Templeton, Bruce
Griffis, Charles Pierson, Bob Boyanowski, Bill Goodrich, Harvey Rosenkrans
Ted Plevinsky, Dan Henry, Dave McGuigan, Terry Dugan, Mary Mead.
Guests included: Scott Rosenkrans, Frank Pinkowski, Bryon Parks, Francis
Parks, Richard Darrow & Brandon L.
Nine members answered Roll Call.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by all and approved with
a motion by Tom Curley, seconded by Bill Stewart. Motion carried.
The Treasurer reported a balance of $ 58,955.93
in the NTC account, with $2,384.94 in the composting account. Terry
Dugan made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report
with a second by Bob Boyanowski, motion carried.
Old Business:
President Swan reported on the cell towers. Concrete was
poured at the Silver Lake & Forest Lake sites with Bridgewater,
Choconut, Franklin due to be done by the end of the year.
Carson Helfrich of Community Planning & Management LLC will review
the Ordinances. All Ordinances will be the same. All will be on Carsons
and NTC web sites.
Carson went over the proposed NTC Zoning changes with all having a
chance to make changes as deemed necessary.
Terry Dugan spoke about the possibility of holding a seminar on gas
leases. There would be four experts providing information on various
topics. Topics to be covered would be tax implications, terms and provisions
of the lease agreements, land reclamation following exploration and
dealing with the land men who try to sign people up on these leases
and then sell them to the highest bidder. It was suggested that maybe
Penn State Cooperative Extension could be involved.
Bev Way made a motion to hold the seminar on gas leases seconded by
Harvey Rosenkrans. Bob Templeton to contact Joanne at the Extension
Office. The date to be announced.
Terry Dugan made a motion to set aside $200 for advertising such a
seminar seconded by Bev Way.
A motion made by Bill Stewart and seconded by Terry Dugan to pay Carson’s
bill of $3,117.10 motion carried.
Tom Swan received a call from DEP for a final disbursement request
of $5,433.53 for the Municipal Recycling Program Grant. With in-kind
services from Forest Lake, Montrose Boro the grant will be deemed closed..
Next meeting to be held at Montrose Boro. on Nov. 15th.
With no further business to come before the body, Bill Stewart made
a motion seconded by Bev Way to adjourn
Meeting adjourned at 8:15pm.
