Meeting Minutes - September 2006
Apolacon 9-21-06
The meeting was opened by V. Chairperson David Darrow with the Pledge
of Allegiance.
Present: Mary Mead, Chuck Mead, Tom Curley, Bill Dovin, Bill Stewart,
Frank Burns, Joe Tims, Dave McGuighan, Charles Fahringer, Gerry Thorne,
Ken DiPhillips, Dennis Bunnell, Charles Pierson, Kendall Mitchell,
Marvin Small, Art Donato, Beverly Way, Ted Plavinsky, Bob Templeton,
Carolyn Doolittle
Visitor: Stacie Wilson
Bill Stewart made the motion to accept the Secretary’s report.
Tom Curley made the second and the motion was carried.
The Treasurer reported a balance of $32,840.50 in the SALDO/Zoning
account.
Misc. Expenditure Funds - $3,731,56, Composting Fund - $1,051.38. Bill
Stewart made the motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Chuck
Mead made the second and the motion was carried.
The By-laws were passed out. The official copy will be signed when
Tom returns.
Sunshine – note of thanks from Mary Long for the flowers in remembrance
of her mother. Tom Swan is doing well and is anxious to return to work.
The Secty. will see that he has a get well gift from the NTC. A collection
was taken up for various needs of this sort.
A representative of NEP will come to our Bridgewater meeting.
Conversation on grinders: Chris Fritz states that turners, grinders
and tractors will be funded in the next round. Ken DiPhillips said
that more care is needed to screen out larger stones but in general,
most people like the product. Ted Plavinsky made the motion to start
the ads earlier in the spring. Dennis Bunnell made the second and the
Secretary will begin advertising in Mulligan’s in late March.
Carson Helfrich had presented a bill for $7,756.29. Chuck Mead made
the motion to pay this bill and Ted Plavinsky made the second. The
motion was carried.
What to do about Friendsville? Should we absorb the fee? The Secretary
should send a certified letter.
Carson will have updated copies of maps at the Bridgewater meeting.
Art Donato – readdressing a bit behind target. The problem lies
with the Post Office.
