Meeting Minutes - April 2006

April 20, 2006  Rush Township

Present: Tom Swan, Kendall Mitchell, Bob Boyanowski, Marvin Small, Charles Pierson, Beverly Way, Bill Stewart, Dave McGuigan, Ted Plavensky, Tom Curley, Frank Burns, Mary Long, Bill Dovin, Terry Dugan, Bob Templeton
Guests: Staci Wilson

Beverly Way was asked to serve as Secretary pro-tem.

The meeting was opened by Chairperson Tom Swan with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll call – eight members answered, a quorum.
There were no comments on the agenda.

Bill Stewart made a motion to accept the Secretary’s Report.  Tom Curley made the second.  Motion passed.

Dave McGuigan made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report.  Tom Swan made the second.  Motion passed.

Old Business:  IWA is now TSS.  They will still be working with us.  NE PA Telephone Company will be at the May meeting in Forest Lake. 
Chris Fritz holding about $5,400 for grinder until all sites are complete.   Possibly a short window open for more composting grants.  We have received $296.00 in compost money.  Composting material at Montrose ready for dispersing.  We need to work out a price. Someone at the site on Thursday and Friday from 7:30 until 10:00 AM for pick up.  $15.00 for small box pick up and $25.00 for large pick up.  Municipalities in NTC have first dibs on material.

New Business
Tom Swan will contact everyone when there will be a meeting with Commissioners. 

Invoices from Carson will be paid out of DCED monies.
   A motion to pay and approve these invoices was made by Dave McGuigan.  Terry Dugan made the second.  Motion approved.

Where are the corrected by-laws? 

Bob Templeton described the draft copy of the Natural Areas Inventory.  He asked for comments after the members had a chance to examine. 

Bill Stewart suggested we visit the Representatives regarding more liquid fuels money.  Dave Darrow will put together a meeting. 

Bill Dovin motioned to adjourn.
Tom Swan seconded the motion by heading to the pie table. 

Secretary Carolyn Doolittle missed her favorite meeting.
